Donors make a difference in the education of our students, the research of our faculty, the quality of our facilities, and the achievements of our programs. Gifts at all levels are an investment in our collective future. UC Santa Cruz Education faculty are leading scholars in their fields conducting research to improve the quality of education for all students. Their research informs their instruction as they to prepare an increasingly diverse body of students to become excellent teachers, outstanding scholars, and community leaders.

We welcome all expressions of support. Gifts can be directed to the Education Department Unrestricted Gift Fund or augment an existing endowment or scholarship.

  • NANCY MATLOCK SCHOLARSHIP

    This scholarship honors the legacy of local educator Nancy Matlock. Preference is given to students enrolled in the Master of Arts in Education program who have attended Cabrillo College for one continuous year.

  • KATHRYN CHENEY MERRIAM SCHOLARSHIP

    The Kathryn Cheney Merriam Scholarship in Education was established in loving memory by her children. The scholarship is for undergraduates majoring in education and is based on financial need.

  • EDUCATION DEPARTMENT UNRESTRICTED GIFT FUND

    Unrestricted donations give the department flexibility to support promising opportunities and pressing needs.
