Research Opportunities
CAMPUS FELLOWSHIPSA variety of university fellowships may be awarded at the time of admission. These include fee and tuition fellowships and some outright grants of fellowship funding.
RESEARCH ASSISTANTSHIPSThe Education Department faculty has a strong track record of securing extramural funding, which serves as an important source of financial support for graduate students.
TEACHING ASSISTANTSHIPSWhenever possible, the department makes teaching assistantships available to graduate students. For example, during the 2006-2007 academic year, teaching assistants working at 50% time (20 hours/week) receive an approximate salary $3551.67 per quarter. In addition, the university pays a portion of the student's registration fee for each quarter worked. The department receives funding for approximately 20 TA-ships each year.
