Brief Description:	Math lesson on the area of rectangles
Classroom context:	K-5 elementary school in an urban/suburban community in Northern California. Students: 27 total; of these, 9 were English learners (mostly Intermediate), and 2 were once considered ELs but reclassified Fluent English Proficient. This lesson took place in early March, about seven months into the school year and before the start of the annual statewide testing.
